Altar Ego – My longing for approval

Colossians 1:21–22 (NLT): This includes you who were once far away from God. You were his enemies, separated from him by your evil thoughts and actions. 22 Yet now he has reconciled you to himself through the death of Christ in his physical body. As a result, he has brought you into his own presence, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before him without a single fault.

Proverbs 29:25 (NIV): Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe.

Galatians 1:10 (NLT): Obviously, I’m not trying to win the approval of people, but of God. If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be Christ’s servant.
